Addison Graves Wilson

“Joe” Wilson, the Republican U.S. Representative who made the inappropriate outburst, should be referred to by his full name, Addison Graves Wilson, Sr., so as not to confuse him with Joseph Charles Wilson IV, the diplomat and husband of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame, and so as not to bring shame and humiliation to others who share the same name.

By the way, I thought Obama’s health care speech to Congress was a wonderful compromise between good and evil. As a fellow Green noted recently, we mustn’t come down squarely on the side of good.

And let’s hope nobody dies because they don’t have citizenship. And let’s hope there are no pandemics.
