Obama reminded Clinton she couldn’t win and asked for her endorsement. Hillary said only if he makes her vice president. Obama says he can’t do that, but he can make her secretary of state. She agrees, but only if they can mutually agree on a vice president. Joe Biden is arrived at. Clinton agrees to campaign for Obama.

With any luck, after Hillary and McCain, the rest of the cabinet will be progressive. But I highly doubt it. I don’t think Obama will be a true president of the people. Whatever we get will be the meager result of strained compromise with people who have too much power.
