Movie Reviews

I recently saw "Kingdom of Heaven", "Crash", and "Revenge of the Sith", and enjoyed all of them. They each deal with different types of intolerance: religious, racial, and political. In "Sith", I thought the scene where they’re throwing the senate seats around like Frisbees is symbolic of the loss of freedoms in the U.S.

Thanks for the recommendations, Tom. I haven't been to theater since Fahrenheit 911, but I need to get out. I'll certainly keep these in mind if I get the chance. :)

...that was kind of a short comment for such an evil empire just like our evil empire..creating a "problem"..then solving it with fascism..as well as showing the process of "good people doing bad things"..and how democracy end: "with thunderous applause"..John munter

Welcome, cousin John! Another observation is that Anakin looks brainwashed in the final stages of his conversion to the dark side, a condition I'm afraid too many voters have today.

...thats very interesting,Tom. We have to wait for the dvd to come out but i am interested in anakins process..i know there was his love interest involved with his switch to the dark side..and was the rest of it his appreciation for power and effectiveness..or the general anger that overtook him with the Jedi?..John

I'd say a little bit of both, but I don't want to give away too much!

Hey, Tom,
Roger Ebert gave four stars to "The Constant Gardener"!
Its based on a old Graham Greene novel.
