Our new state flag
The new Minnesota flag features an eight-point star. This may be a Muslim star, but it's also in the capitol rotunda in St. Paul. On an elementary school field trip, we were taught that it was four letter M's. In recent years, the original Minnesota flag came under criticism for having an unrealistic depiction of American Indians. The friendly farmer and Indian kind of smoothed over what really happened in the 1800s. I was hoping the new flag would have a dreamcatcher on it. I like the simplified design with the K-shape of the state, but yeah, I didn't know about the Somali coloration.
