Who Killed the Electric Car?

This is another must-see movie. After "An Inconvenient Truth," this one provides hope, but it also inspires outrage. Yes, there really was an electric car that could peel out and burn rubber. GM pulled the EV-1 from the market, probably because of the oil companies but also because they make a lot of money on car maintenance, replacing oil filters, timing belts and what not. An electric car mechanic would finish work with his hands clean. They would rotate the tires, top off the washer fluid, and send them back out on the road. I bet these electric cars will make a comeback, but only after the oil is almost gone, when we'll probably need the oil for something else. To me it sounds like a dangerous game to play. Do you trust the powers-that-be to take care of you? I don't.
