Money laundering

Money laundering is where you put the dirty money in, and take the clean money out. Sounds like that’s what Tom Delay did.

You know what I am seeing here in Texas is the republicans are all of sudden really "independents," and they are talking about Kinky Friedman.

If Texas Reoublicans start distancing themselves from the Republican party to be "independents," then that is a sign that the party is sinking from its own dead wood.

The problem is that they have already damaged the country so badly, what can be done with it now?

Didn't he sing a duet with Elton John? Oops, that was Kiki Dee. Looks like he likes music and chess, just like me. I'd watch out though, if he's like Ventura. That was a squandered term.

Oh, I'll probably vote democrat, but I just think it's great that the republicans are bailing out for an independent.

Now that Katherine Lanpher has left Al Franken’s show, perhaps she can run for the U.S. Senate seat here in Minnesota being vacated by Mark Dayton. She says she’s going to write a book, though. She did have a DUI or something, as well, and that could affect her decision. I like Katherine and would have good things to say about her, but I’m still supporting Michael Cavlan of the Green Party. Franken is considering a run in 2008 for the other Minnesota seat, currently held by Republican Norm Coleman. As mayor of St. Paul, Coleman fought a living wage ordinance, and as Senator, he tried to lay the blame for the Iraqi oil for food scandal on UN Secretary-General Kofi Anann.

Yeah, I've heard about racist cops and riots in Cincinnati. Not sure if improvement efforts have been successful.

One of Franken’s guests this week was Jeff Blodgett, who promoted Camp Wellstone, a training program for candidates and activists that carries on the Minnesota model.

When I was looking for a college to study at, I wanted to go to Oberlin. That's in Ohio, and it's as liberal as it gets. They put me on a waiting list and then declined me the next year. The buggers!!!

Nonetheless, not all of Ohio is right wing.

Speaking of Franken and the Texas gubernatorial race, he just interviewed Chris Ball (our democratic candidate) about his role in taking down Tom DeLay. I put the link on my blog.
